Hello! I’m Akoya and while I may currently look like a little old lady, I am only a couple of years old! I’m a Havanese so even though my fur might be short right now, I am growing it back quickly and will need consistent grooming. I love, love, LOVE attention! If you can pet me, hold me, and cuddle me, we’ll get along great!

Even though I wasn’t potty trained before I got rescued, I’ve been killing it with making sure I go outside and rarely have accidents in the house. Speaking of outside, I love to run around and play with other dogs my size. I may be small, but I am fast! So, if you have a yard, I’d love to check it out! I’m not a huge fan of walks and leashes (I’d rather be carried, or trot untethered next to you), but maybe with some encouragement from treats and toys I could get used to it. Let’s meet!
