We're excited you're interested in joining Fetch Foster and Rescue as a volunteer! Volunteers are the heart of our mission, and there are many ways you can get involved.

We now have two different volunteer applications, depending on how you'd like to help.

What to Know Before You Apply

• We’re 100% volunteer-run. That means we're all donating our time—so response times may vary. We appreciate your patience!

• Location matters. We're based in Wausau, WI. For most roles (especially fostering), you’ll need to live within about an hour of our area.

• We provide training and support. No experience required—we’ll help you get started and offer support along the way.

• We’re building teams. Volunteers help with transport, fundraising, events, lost dog recovery, community outreach, and more. Let us know your interests and strengths—there’s a place for everyone!

• Not all roles are immediately open. Some teams are full or in transition, but we’ll keep your application on file and reach out when opportunities open up.

• Foster volunteers must be 21+. General volunteers must be 18+.
