Hi there, I’m Olly!
Let me tell you a little about myself. First, my humans have given me two nicknames: Olly Polly and Olister Brown. This must mean I have been accepted into their pack?! Second, I’ve got the smarts, the energy, and the heart to be your new best friend. I already know the important stuff: sit, shake, stay, and even “play dead” (I really nail that one). Last, I’m kennel trained, house trained, and very motivated by food and treats. Basically, if snacks are involved, I’m in.
I’m a big-time snuggle bug who will happily curl up with you after a day of fun. But don’t let my sweet side fool you, I’m also full of energy! I love playing with other dogs, but sometimes I get so excited that I need a reminder to take a break. My foster family is helping me work on that.
I do have a voice (okay, maybe a lot of voice) and like to use it to let you know who is at the house, so I’m practicing keeping my commentary to a minimum. I’m still working on my recall when I’m off-leash, so until I’ve got that mastered, I’d be happiest in a home with a fenced yard or even a big farm where I can safely stretch my legs.
Being a herding dog, I thrive when I have space to burn off my energy. I’m okay with cats once we’ve been properly introduced, and while I haven’t been around small children in my foster home, I previously lived with little ones.
My dream home? A place where I can run, play, and then crash for some serious cuddle time. A family that will keep my brain and body busy, but also appreciate my love and affection. If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and sometimes goofy companion, I think we’d make a great team.
